π¨ Supplies We Used
For our canvases, we kept everything super simple and easy to find.
β¨ White Canvases
I used a pack of white canvases that I found at Burlington. They were affordable and the perfect size for little handprints.

ποΈ Paint Markers Instead of Sharpies
Instead of using Sharpies, I decided to use paint markers because I didnβt want the colors to stain or bleed through the canvas.
The paint markers worked SO well for outlining and writing cute little messages on the canvases β¨

π¨ Pastel Paint Colors
For the handprints and flowers, I used pastel acrylic paint colors from Target. I loved how soft and cheerful the colors looked for a Teacher Appreciation Week gift πππ
Amazon also has amazing pastel paint sets if you want more color options.

β How We Made The Handprint Canvases
These canvases were honestly so easy and fun to make together.
First, my kiddo added the handprints onto the blank canvases using acrylic paint π¨
After doing the handprints, I let the canvases dry overnight before adding the final details and messages the next day. This helps avoid smudging and makes outlining much easier.
For the first canvas, we made a flower garden handprint design πΈ
And for the second one, we turned the handprint into a pencil βοΈ
π‘ Cute Message Ideas
Here are the sayings we used on our canvases:
πΈ βThank You for Helping Me Growβ
βοΈ βThank You for Keeping Me Sharp!β
Simple, cute, and meaningful π
π Why Teachers Love Handmade Gifts
As a teacher myself, I can honestly say handmade gifts are always so appreciated π
Teachers truly love thoughtful gifts made by students because they become special keepsakes they remember for years.
It doesnβt have to be expensive, something simple and made with love means everything β¨
